Correcting Liposuction with Lipo-Ex

People who want to look their best often reach for invasive cosmetic procedures in their quest for perfection. Liposuction, for example, is an invasive procedure that promises flat abdomens, invisible love handles and sleek, smooth thighs. Yet often liposuction goes wrong, and the end result is not what the client had in mind. In fact, sometimes the end result can be downright frightening.
One problem with liposuction is that occasionally, people are left with lumpiness and bumpiness under the skin. Women in particular who have had liposuction on their thighs can sometimes be left with ridges and lumpiness as a result of the procedure, and they don’t know what to do. It is almost as if the device that was jabbing their fat left them with tight, rigid little lines, which need to be smoothed out for them to be happy with their appearances once again, says Dr. Alexandra F. Lambrou, medical director of Sculpt Medical Spa in Chicago.
“We are having great results treating people who have had visible lumpiness with liposuction,” says Dr. Lambrou, whose clinic treats both men and women in the Chicago area with Lipo Ex. A non-surgical alternative to traditional liposuction, with Lipo-Ex, the fat is literally melted down, and then either absorbed or expelled naturally by the body. The procedure is 100% pain-free – many people actually find it relaxing and pleasurable – and the results can sometimes be seen immediately.
Usually, it will take anywhere from six to eight treatments on the low end, to eight to 10 treatments on the high end, to correct lumpy liposuction, says Dr. Lambrou, and the results are incredible. Her clinic also has good results with people who have had loose skin as a result of liposuction treatments, or because of excessive weight loss. Lipo-Ex relies on high frequency radio waves that heat up the fat and help speed up the production of collagen at the same time.
“We have had a couple of patients who have stomach stapling, gastric bypass, or lap band surgery, resulting in a significant weight loss of 100 pounds or more, which has resulted in a lot of loose skin,” says Dr. Lambrou. “In extreme cases, they have surgery to cut away the skin, but for those people who do not want to have that surgery, we are able to help them out with collagen renewal to tighten the skin,” she says.
Lipo-Ex also is also leading the way in the removal of stretch marks, she adds. The best results occur when the stretch marks are recent, although sometimes there are good results when the stretch marks are older. “If the stretch marks are from a recent pregnancy, you can see a visible reduction of 50 to 75 percent,” Dr. Lambrou says. “The stretch marks do not go away entirely, but using Lipo-Ex can visibly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It also helps with collagen development and breaks down the fibrous tissue structures as well.”
If you have tried other non-surgical options without success and diet and exercise have not given you the results you want, Lipo-Ex could easily be a better option than traditional lipo. For the best Lipo-Ex procedures in the Chicago area with trained professionals working in a friendly environment, Sculpt Medical Spa is the place to go.
