I applaud Ms. Matthews for discussing something usually left 'in the closet'. The subject of gynecomastia is infrequently discussed and doesn't appear to be taken seriously by physical and mental health professionals. Kudos to Ms. Matthews for her willingness to cover a story usually reserved for locker room jokes, despite the seriousness to those who have it.____However, I was somewhat uncomfortable with the fact that most of the article speaks to getting rid of the gynecomasts. Normalcy is a term that should be left up to the individual for definition.____I belong to a social group of men with gynecomastia. Instead of thinking of it as an afflction, well, we think of it as a blessing.____Most of us are extremely obese and have trouble dating. Gynecomastia has allowed is to touch, feel, and look at real live breasts during sex even though we have no female sex partners. We have coined the term GM ("gynecomastic masturbation") to define use of ones own gynecomasts to stimulate oneself during masturbation. We advocate the practice of GM, and advise men with gynecomastia not to alter their god-given bodies. We are in the process of publishing a book on GM
