Making the Jowl Line Appear Younger

As we get older, our jowls often lose their fullness. If you are tired of having a chicken neck, maybe it’s time you looked at some non-surgical options to give you back the jowls of your youth. Here, Dr. Guljeet Sohal, owner of Balle Bliss luxury med spa in Cypress, Texas, explains how it’s done:
As we age, our jowl line gets loose. As a result, a lot of people get a chicken or turkey neck, and it starts to all droop down. With fillers, however, we can recreate a nice jowl line that will make the sagginess disappear and give you back a firm, smooth appearance.
What are jowls? They are loose, hanging bit of fat and/or skin on either or both sides of the face, which extend usually below the jaw line. While some men don’t mind them – think of Winston Churchill – the majority of women find them unsightly and seek options to get rid of them.
Plastic Surgery Unnecessary
Some people go to great lengths to have them removed surgically. But that is not always necessary, as dermal fillers can recreate a nice jowl line which will help get rid of the sagginess and give you a nice taut jowl line back.
Any of the many injectable fillers are good, I use Radiesse as it gives more structure, is a little bit stronger and thicker and holds better. But any of them will work. They can fill in areas that are hollow, either due to aging or dramatic weight loss in some cases – and will give your face back its original, natural contour.
Your face is like any other part of your body, and with age, it will begin to lose its firmness and elasticity. If your jowls are bothering you, there is no need to just live with them. A dermal filler is a safe and effective way to get rid of that unsightly chicken neck.
