What is LumiLift?

Lumilift is a photo rejuvenation procedure used to give skin a smoother and more youthful appearance. The term photo rejuvenation refers to any treatment involving intense pulsed light, or other chemical or thermal methods, to minimize the appearance of wrinkles or treat other skin conditions. LumiLift penetrates three layers that affect aging: epidermal, dermal, and in the muscle tissue.
During LumiLift treatment, two specially designed lifting electrodes pulsate light at a high wavelength and use high power density to stimulate light absorbing photo-receptors in the skin to induce a cellular response. Each electrode uses 40 Superluminous Diodes (SLDs)—more powerful and of higher quality than regular LEDs. Pulsed red light trigger a wave of energy that aims to stimulate reparative action in skin cells.
While the light action is at work, currents are transmitted to skin to restore contour and slow the skin’s aging process. The Lumilift micronized currents harmonize with the natural bioelectric currents in the body, reconstructing skin tissues or changing skin patterns.
During the last part of the Lumilift procedure, specially programmed currents are applied with electrodes. The skin care professional uses a non-evasive ironing motion to smooth away problem lines and wrinkles.
There are four pre-programmed LumiLift computerized procedures, specialized for face, eyes, chest, and hands.
Lumilift results are cumulative, and for the strongest results may require a series of about 10 treatments. Results can last approximately three months to over a year.
Who Needs LumiLift?
Anyone who wants to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on their face, eyes, chest, or hands may wish to consider LumiLift as a possible skin treatment option.
LumiLift may be especially appealing to those who wish to avoid extreme or invasive skin procedures but are seeking more dramatic results than can be found from over-the-counter wrinkle remedies.
Benefits
Because LumiLift simultaneously uses three diverse methods of combating the effects of aging on the skin (light energy, micronized currents, and HF polarized currents), it may be able to penetrate deeper into the skin than most other anti-aging procedures. The results can be immediate and dramatic.
Also, because of the use of Superluminous Diodes (SLDs), rather than LED or other thermal light treatment often used in other photo rejuvenation procedures, LumiLift may be safer. SLDs are polarized narrow band frequencies that may be safer than natural sunlight because they contain no harmful UV rays.
Monthly maintenance treatments are recommended to keep your skin looking as youthful and smooth as possible after a series of LumiLift treatments. Facials, peels or microdermabrasion are also highly recommended on a monthly basis in order to generate newer healthier skin cells.
Risks
While less expensive than extreme anti-wrinkle treatments like plastic surgery, LumiLift is usually quite costly. Also, a series of around 10 treatments may be needed to achieve the best results from LumiLift. The results can vary greatly, as can the time that the results last.
The Bottom Line
LumiLift is a cutting-edge procedure that offers real promise in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles- and it does so without painful injections or plastic surgery. If you’ve got the money and the time, LumiLift may be just what you’re looking for. But make sure you’re ready to put the effort into maintaining your new look.
